The Dawn of a New Era

The needs of the world for the new message, which is in keeping with the needs in the present, as then. There was the looking forward to the coming of the Messiah. Today there is the looking forward to the coming of the Prince of Peace, the new era. These are before you, even as then. Be Glad you have the opportunity to be alive at this time, and to be a part of that preparation for the coming influences of a spiritual nature that Must rule the world. Be happy of it, and give thanks daily for it. As has been and is being understood by many, there are changes being wrought in the nations, as well as in the inter-relationships between nations. It is also understood, comprehended by some, that a new order of conditions is to arise; that there must be many a purging in high places as well as low; that there must be the greater consideration of each individual, each soul being his brother's keeper. There will then come about those circumstances in the political, the economic and the whole relationships where there will be a levelling; or a greater comprehension of this need. For as the time or the period draws near for these changes that come with the new order, it behooves all of those who have an ideal; as individuals, as well as groups or societies or organizations, to be practising, applying same in their experience, and their relationships as one to another. For unless these are up and doing, then there must indeed be a new order in Their relationships and their activities. For HIS ways will carry through. For as HE gave: “Though the heavens and the earth may pass away, my word will Not pass away.” - Mark 13:31
All too often has this message been forgotten in the pulpits and in the organizations, not only in the national relationships but in the international relationships. And as the dealings are as one to another, unless these are in keeping with those tenets they must fail; for all power in heaven and in earth hath been given into His hands. Then as we approach all phases of human relationships, these must be taken into consideration. And there Cannot be one measuring stick for the labourer in the field, and the man behind the counter, and another for the man behind the money changers. All are equal; not only under the material law but under the Spiritual. And HIS laws, HIS will, will not come to naught! Though there may come those periods when there will be great stress, as brother rises against brother, as group or sect or race rises against race; yet the levelling must come. And Only those who have set their ideal in Him and practised it in their dealings with their fellow man may expect to survive the wrath of the Lord. In thy dealings, then; whether at home, in thy dealings with state or the national situations, or the international affairs, there must come All under that purpose, that desire. And then there should be, there Will be those rising to power, that are able to meet the needs. For none are in power but that have been given the opportunity by the will of the Father, from which all power emanates. Hence those will be levelled with the purpose: “My word shall Not fail!” For, all are equal in His sight; Each soul, a manifestation of that ye worship in thy Maker! Have ye not heard, have ye not learned, that if ye would have friends ye must show thyself friendly? That if ye would have love ye must show thyself lovely? Not outwardly, but as Purposely! These be questions that may only be answered within self. For All are equal under the law. What is the Law? Love, Grace, Mercy; so long as ye Accord thyself with same!

The Age of Aquarius

The Age of Aquarius: the Age of the Lily, the purity; only the purity as it represents will be able to comprehend or understand that awareness that is before those who seek the way. In the Piscean age, in the centre of same, we had the entrance of Emmanuel or God among men. What did that mean? The same will be meant by the full consciousness of the ability to communicate with, or to be aware of the relationships to the Creative Forces, and the uses of same in material environs. This awareness during the era or age in the age of Atlantis and Lemuria or Mu brought what? Destruction to man, and his beginning of the needs of the journey up through that of selfishness. Then, as to what will these be, Only those who accept same will even become aware of what's going on about them! How few realize the vibratory forces, as create influences from even one individual to another, when they are even in the same vibratory force or influence!

A New Model of Society

This present model of society will fail, in other terms: it has no future, or better said; its future is one of chaos, confusion, and ultimately fail, fail in all aspects, not one rather all. A new model based on a much older model, one of which records are scarce, never the less available and kept in the archives of the Order will be and shall be establish.

The Changes That Are To Come

“In the first place you remember a single deluge only, but there were many previous ones; in the next place, you do not know that there formerly dwelt in your land the fairest and noblest race of men which ever lived, and that you and your whole city are descended from a small seed or remnant of them which survived. And this was unknown to you, because, for many generations, the survivors of that destruction died, leaving no written word.” - Plato in “Timaeus”, 360 B.C.E

And, as there is the wavering of those that would enter as emissaries, as teachers, from the throne of life, the throne of light, the throne of immortality, and wage war in the air with those of darkness, then know ye the Armageddon is at hand. For with the great numbers of the gathering of the hosts of those that have hindered and would make for man and his weaknesses stumblingblocks, they shall wage war with the spirits of light that come into the earth for this awakening; that have been and are being called by those of the sons of men into the service of the living God. For He, as ye have been told, is not the God of the dead, not the God of those that have forsaken Him, but those that love His coming, that love His associations among men, the God of the Living, the God of Life! For, He Is Life.

Sir Oliver Lodge Teaches
The Soul's Pre-Existence:

Famous Physicist Announces His Belief, Gained Through Scientific Research, in Immortality, the Gift of Prophecy, and Christ’s Incarnation

"My message Is that there Is some great truth in the idea of pre-existence, not an obvious truth, nor one easy to formulate, a truth difficult to express, not to be identified with the guesses of reincarnation and transmigration, which may be fanciful. We may not have been individuals before, but we are chips or fragments of a great mass of mind, of spirit, of Life-drops as it were, taken out of a germinal reservoir of life, and incubated until incarnate in a material body." It is thus that Sir Oliver Lodge announces his belief in a doctrine that has not been hitherto among the recognized tenets of Christianity, although, in some form or another, it is present In most of the great world-religions, and is older than Socrates, who used It as one of the links In his argument for the immortality of the soul. The statement just quoted, and Its development, is made by Sir Oliver In his new book. " Reason and Belief," which is published this week by Moffat. Yard & Co. For years Sir Oliver Lodge has been recognized as one of the foremost authorities in physical science, his discovery of the “coherer," an important adjunct in wireless telegraphy, placing him among famous practical inventors of the day. Recently however, Sir Oliver, who is at the head of the Society for Psychical Research as well as Principal of the University of Birmingham, has been turning his attention to the great problems of religion, attacking these from the stand- point of the investigating scientist rather than that of the confirmed theologian or the skeptic, and the results of his studies, along certain special lines, have been put forth from time to time in such books as "Science and Immortality," " The Survival of Man." In his forthcoming book, however, he brings together in one view his conclusions on the leading doctrines of religion, the Immortality of the Soul, the Bible, the Incarnation of Christ, presenting these, as he explains in his preface, in an expository and not in an argumentative form, and declaring that the basis for these views is in “the facts of experiences", and the "result of a life-time of scientific study." Moreover, he finds that there is a “profound substratum of truth underlying ancient, doctrines, and in so far as the progress of science instead of undermining actually illustrates and illuminates some of them, he finds it his duty to indicate to the best of his ability "how matters stand." Sir Oliver brings forward his Idea of prep-existence in the very beginning of his book: "There is no real end to anything In the universe, no end to any real existence; nor is there any beginning." He argues that the soul will live forever In the future as a consequence of Its pre-existence: "John Smith was born a few years ago and will die, but he will not go Into nothingness; and though as an individual he began at birth, it is not likely that he, any more than anything else, began from nothing. The complexity of his organism, the far-reaching quality of his mind, combined with what we know of the leisurely processes of nature, forbid the idea of construction elaborated in such fantastic haste. The body has been formed to a given pattern quickly enough; so may a plant grow with great rapidity; but there must be some entity, even though It be only a germinal vesicle, which collects and arranges the particles to suit itself. The specific form of the structure depends on this entity not on the miscellaneous sources of the particles. Some, kinds of material can be used, some cannot: those which have been good for food serve their turn for a time and then are discarded again; but it is the arranging entity for which we postulate continuous existence. It is this of which we may seek to trace the continuous and perennial history. The discarded body looks dead and dismal enough but that is only because the energizing sprit which constructed it has gone beyond our ken. "All analogy, Is against the idea of disappearance being synonymous with destruction. Death is change, indeed-a sort of emigration, a wrenching away from old familiar scenes, a solemn and portentous fact-but it is not annihilation. No thoughtful person can really and consistently believe that he is destined. To drop head foremost in the jaws of vacant, nothing, and to cease." of every kind of individual existence with a history, with an origin and a termination, we must ask what before? what after?

For some kinds of existence we can answer these questions; for others, not. But we know that beyond their manifest history there must always be an infinite past and an infinite future: and hidden antecedence and sequence may in time be traced. “The experience and memory of the past survive in our very organization; we are the product of evolution through the aged. Conscious memory may fail, does fail, but the effect of experience lasts. And It does not follow that our conscious memory will always fail; Individuality once begun shall not again completely cease." Birth, like death and marriage, he finds. Is one of the three adventures in human Life: "An adventure is great as any perhaps -the coming to the planet, the becoming an individual, attaining a personality which, whether it begins then or not, at any rate is to continue. At birth we began a separate individual existence, but not from nothing. Children often appear to retain for a time some intuition some “shadowy recollection, as it were, of a former state of being. And even adults, in certain moods, have I gleams of more than mortal things.” and are perplexed, at times, with a dim reminiscence as of previous experiences." Taking the pre-existence of 'the soul for granted, Sir Oliver speculates further: "What happened before earth-life, we have forgotten, if we ever knew, we have forgotten. Our individual memory begins soon after birth. Before that we cannot trace identity. Perhaps we had none Either we had none, or we have forgotten. The latter is the more poetic mode, of expression. It is not new. I am well aware that I am saying nothing new. The doctrine is old; Plato taught it before the time of Christ. Wordsworth taught it early last century, the doctrine that when we enter into flesh we leave behind all memory of previous existence, all, except for occasional dim and shadowy recollections which, though they may be stronger in infancy, occasionally surprise the grown man also, from whose mind they usually appear to have faded."

This occasional flashing from a supposedly "dislocated memory" he finds "His suggested by the analogy of hypnotic trance, and by cases of multiple personality: where In each of the lower states, or strata of personality, all memory of what happened in the higher has completely lapsed, until the appropriate state is again entered. It Is true, and rather specially instructive, that in one of the highest states thus accessible it some times happens that the gaps of memory are filled up, and all events are more or less recollected, even those of lower states also; though as a rule the memory is discontinuous, and the appropriate thread is taken up again on re-entering any given state." As to the existence of angels, and the help which they afford to man in his struggles, Sir Oliver takes an affirmative' view for which he refers to "facts " that; are known to him, but which he does not state here." The idea of angels is usually treated as fanciful. Imaginative It Is, but: not altogether fanciful; and though the physical appearance and attributes of such Imaginary beings may have been overemphasized or misconceived, yet facts known to me indicate that we are not really lonely in our struggles, that our destiny is not left to haphazard, that there is no such thing as laissez faire in a highly organized universe. Help may be rejected, but help is available; a ministry of benevolence surrounds us, a cloud of witnesses, not witnesses only, but helpers, agents, like ourselves, of the immanent God. Hidden as they are to our present senses, poets can realize their presence in moments of insight, can become aware of their assistance in periods of dejection, dejection which else would be despair." From this belief in the existence and ministry of angels he proceeds to an affirmative consideration of the doctrine or the Incarnation of God in Christ: "And the race has also been helped. A Divine Helper has actually taken flesh and dwelt among us, full of grace and truth. “The second man is the Lord from heaven.”

And at this advent season and Christmas time we commemorate that event. We commemorate it every time we date a letter; for what does 1910 mean except that we are counting the years since that event? The whole Christian world dates its history from that momentous epoch, the Incarnation. “We are all incarnations, all sons of God. In a sense, but at that epoch a Son of God in the supremest sense took pity on the race, laid aside his majesty, made himself of no reputation, took upon him the form of a servant, a minister, entered into our flesh, and lived on the planet as a peasant, a teacher, a reformer, a martyr. This is said to have literally happened; and as a student of science I am bound to say that, so far as we can I understand such an assertion, there is nothing In It contrary to accepted knowledge. I am not testifying to It because, It is a conventional belief, I am testifying because I have gradually found that it may be true, because I have gradually become assurer of the possibility of such an incarnation. The historical testimony in its favour is entirely credible. The Christian Churches have hold of a great truth. That Is what I want people to realize distinctly and forcibly and with-out any convention. Freed, if possible, from the blinkers of custom, it can be recognized as a reality. Al that the churches say about it need not be true... but something is true much better than they say, something which they and we together are gradually rising to understand. It is a great subject on which many scholars have written; and what they have said Is well deserving of study. We should take their writings seriously, but first we should be assured of the possibility of the solid fact with which they are dealing, assured that there is a fundamental truth underlying the tentative conclusions of reverent and studious men. "Christ did not spring into existence as the man Jesus of Nazareth. The Christ spirit existed through all eternity. At birth he became incarnate. Then it was that he assumed his chosen title, “Son of Man.” Before that he is called the Companion, the Counsellor, the Word of God, the Word, or the Thought, or the Logos, the Idea, the Design, the Conception, these words all help to convey some notion of what is intended. “Of the mystery of the Incarnation we need not speculate, and what He was before the Incarnation we can hardly express. The best attempt that has been made to express it conveys the idea in mystical-and very beautiful language with which were all familiar: modulating the great creation then in the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. “And the Spirit of God moved upon the the face of the waters”, into poetic utterance still more magnificent: “In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. All things were made by Him; and without Him was not anything made that was made. And the Word; was made flesh, and dwelt among us and we beheld His glory, the glory as the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.” Yes, that is as near as we can get to the extraordinary truth! The Great! Spirit took pity on the human race, which was blundering along, afflicted with a terrible burden of sins, with mistaken notions, of worship, bloody sacrifices, burnt offerings, and all the machinery a of priest craft, even when it did not fall into idolatry. A Divine Spirit, “The Lord from Heaven”, became incarnate, in order to reveal to us the hidden nature of God, the love, the pity, the long-suffering, the kindness, all that we had missed or misconceived or that priests had defaced. He came to tell us what the kingdom of heaven was really like. In many parables He tried to make it clear to us. He found it no easy task, but It was His central message. His constant endeavour, to convey some sense of the reality and meaning of the Kingdom of Heaven, and how it might be actually realized on earth. While Incarnate He, too, had in some real sense, partially forgotten previous existence. Yet of Him pre-eminently it may be said that not In entire forgetfulness, but trailing clouds of glory did He come, from God who was his home.

"We can see that His divine ancestry must have became intermittently plain to one after another of those with whom He came into contact as He walked the Earth in Syria. An extraordinary influence, an effulgence of the spirit shone through the earthly covering and inspired profound wonder, enthusiasm, and devotion. The healing Influence of the hem of His garment is not beyond what we know may occur. And the Transfiguration itself, when even his peasant garments shared for a moment in the blaze of glory, was but a special manifestation, to the few who were susceptible, of what was more of obscurely there all the time." In regard to the prophecies as to the coming of Christ contained in the Old Testament, the inspiration of which, with certain Qualifications, he does not doubt, the following remarkable statement is made, remarkable because of the suggestion conveyed that Sir Oliver Lodge is in possession of certain "facts " from which he is beginning to believe in the possibility of foretelling future events: "Do you think that such prophetic anticipation is impossible? Do you think It absurd to suppose that such an event as the Incarnation was foreseen and heralded, in some fashion more or less distinct? If you think so it is not to be wondered at for the possibility of such foresight into futurity is a strange one. But I believe you are wrong if you think so nevertheless. Facts are beginning to be known to me, still obscure and incomplete, which tend to show that even the birth of a human child, of ordinary parents, a child only remarkable for the fullness and richness of its nature and for the destiny soon to overtake It, was predicted, was shadowed forth in ways obscurer, but subsequently unmistakable, more than a year before birth. It Is not a subject on which dogmatism is appropriate; but the conclusion at which I am gradually arriving is that future events are planned, and are not haphazard and unforeseen; that arrangement is possible in other spheres than ours, just as design and foresight are possible among human beings, anticipations and heraldings of a kind far above our present power. It is true, but of the same general character. “Nor is the idea of some kind of, perhaps automatic, perhaps semi-conscious, choice, concerning our earthly destiny, foreign to the conception of inspired and informed philosophers and poets; for the parable in the tenth book of Plato's Republic, is well known and perception of some real truth underlying it is the basis of the following apostrophe addressed to an ordinary human being: “Soul, that In some high world hast made Pre-natal unbewalling choice, Thro' earth's perplexities of shade Sternly to suffer and rejoice."

"But however it may be with the individual himself in ordinary cases. It is practically certain, in my mind, that anticipation in such matters is Possible, and that inspired writers may express far more than they know. "So I have been led to perceive that the description given of those other utterance. Christ's posthumous utterances at the end of Luke's Gospel, may be essentially true, and that some of the prophecies are genuinely and properly interpretable in ways of which the writers had barely a suspicion: “Behooved It not the Christ to suffer these things and to enter into his glory? And beginning at Moses and all the prophets, he expounded unto them in all the Scriptures the things concerning him self.” "And while still living, he was imbued with the same idea; for did he not say to a Jewish audience, at a moment of danger and inspiration."

“Your father Abraham rejoiced to see my day, and he saw it and was glad." Through the vista of a thousand years, the coming of the Messiah had been dimly foreseen by the great patriarch at inspired moments. “Then it was that in answer to their easy, self-satisfied sarcastic retort. Thou art not yet 50 years old and hast thou seen Abraham? He made that portentous utterance, announcing His pre-existence, His eternity; then it was that He made the claim which they took for blasphemy: “Verily, verily, I say unto you. Before Abraham was, I Am.” That statement is clear and unmistakable, it was clear even to them, so clear that they could only reply with stones. "The present, the past, and the future all in some strange sense indistinguishable. Existence one continuous chain, manifested now, hidden then, but real always. Before them in flesh stood the earthly representation or incarnation of a Being who henceforth would be acclaimed by all Christendom as eternal, Omnipresent, Divine! “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word Was God." - in “The New York Times”, 20 November 1910.

The Resurrection of Christ
in the Light of Modern Science and Psychical Research

A Great Question: For myself, I am convinced of the fact of the Resurrection.

How did Christ rise from the dead?

“The Resurrection may be a miracle in the sense in which I define miracle. My definition is as follows: "A miracle is a law abiding event by which God accomplishes His purposes through the release of energies which are normal on a plane of being higher than any with which we are familiar." If only beings on some higher plane can know about and release these energies; if man, because he is man, has normally no entry yet into that plane, it may be that he cannot find yet the answer to the question: "How did Christ rise from the dead?" This idea of miracle demands a word or two of explanation. Some think of miracles only in terms of wonder. For them the marvellous is the miraculous. This seems unsound to me, for many marvellous things of a hundred years ago are now understood. With such a definition they cease to be miraculous. I well remember an Arab sheik who would have bet me a large sum that no message could reach Baghdad from Basra faster than his best horse could run. He had not heard of the electric telegraph, let alone the wireless. It was an apparent "miracle" to him, but not to me, and after a period of time not to him either.  All may be law, but some laws may belong to a higher plane of being. We can never assert that miracle is a breach of law unless we know all the laws there are in every part of the universe material, psychical and spiritual. To this could be added a wise word of St. Augustine: "We say that all miracles are contrary to Nature, but this is not so. For how is that contrary to Nature which happens by the will of God, since the will of so mighty a Creator is certainly the nature of each created thing?"

The Resurrection within the Realm of Law

It may be that the Resurrection of Christ exhibits energies which are law-abiding, but as far beyond our understanding and use as penicillin injections are to a savage in a jungle village. Maybe we shall arrive on this plane one day. Maybe on that plane the phenomena of the Resurrection are normal.

The Narrative

Let us now recall the narrative because certain things written there, at first sight trivial, do, to my mind, carry most important weight as evidence.

The question is, how did it happen?

It may be that this was a miracle in the sense earlier defined, an impingement into our plane of being of energies belonging to a higher plane and beyond our present understanding. It may be that we shall one day understand as we make progress in scientific understanding of the laws of the universe, including those in the field of psychic research. After all, there have been happenings on this earth which give the impression of being "once for all" miracles. The appearance of life on the planet could be instanced. Once this earth was red-hot. All its "scenery" must have appeared like that in the heart of a red fire. No one, imagined as watching the earth from outside, could have predicted that from the red-hot earth, a natural and anticipated development would be life in plant and animal. Yet it happened. The Resurrection of Christ from the dead was a never to be repeated crossing by One person of the immense gulf between life in a physical body as we know it and life in a form which, while it can still make the same impression as a physical body on the human senses, has entirely transmuted matter by changing its form, speeding up physical changes which turn solid and liquid into gas, and then slowing those changes down again where and when its directing psyche desires. After all, Christ in the days of His flesh clearly had immense and unusual powers over the bodies of others. The nature of matter is now regarded as being a form of energy, and whether matter is solid, liquid, or gas depends on the speed of the molecules which make it up. Could the spirit of Christ act upon His body in such a way as to alter the molecular speed and make the body take gaseous form in an unusually short time? I don't know, but it is conceivable. Imagine, what is not unknown to the physicist-fluctuations in energy so that one or more molecules acquire greater energy than the rest. If molecules at the surface of the body acquired extra energy, they could escape from the body completely.

The Avoidance of Decay

Part of the problem· is solved if you agree that He was to such a degree the master of the processes by which molecular energy can be changed that He could alter the form of the matter of His body through the influences of His mind and spirit. Since I began to ponder these things, I read Sir Oliver Lodge great book "My Philosophy", 1933.

Speaking of Christ's Resurrection, Sir Oliver Lodge says:

"Was His spirit so high that it not only animated the body, but changed it, altered the perceptible material form, so that in a literal sense He became the first fruits of them that slept? It seems to me quite possible that His case was an anticipation of what in time may happen to many, that after a long course of evolution our bodies too may become dematerialised, and that all the repulsive paraphernalia of burial or burning, to get rid of the unwholesome residue of de-organising or disintegrating matter that we leave behind, shall no longer be necessary. Not that our bodies will rejoin the spirit, the spirit will not need them, it will have a spiritual or etheric body of its own. Our present material bodies are formed of earthly particles, and to the earth they will always return; but perhaps they need not always go through the processes of decomposition which to many are so repulsive. The atoms themselves may separate and so spontaneously disappear from our ken; and the body, having served its purpose, may be not only discarded, but may cease to be. I have repeated more than once the idea that a spiritual being may have the power to produce on the human sense-centres the same result as physical matter would produce. This needs illustration, and while the records of the Society for Psychical Research can provide many illustrations, I would prefer an incident which happened to a person whom I personally knew. A minister was sitting alone in his study one stormy night, when he heard the bell-ring. Going to the door, he found standing there a young woman whom he knew fairly well. She was from a village some 5 miles away. This village was in an adjoining circuit from which the minister in question had moved some sixteen months before. "Good evening," she cried. He never attended church much, but once or twice when you were in the circuit we persuaded him to hear you preach. I do wish you would come and pray with him before he passes away." "I will come at once," replied the minister. Putting on his coat and hat, and taking an umbrella from the stand, he set off in the pouring rain on a 5 mile walk, accompanied by the young woman. On his arrival at the house, the wife welcomed him warmly. "Oh, how good of you to come I" she said. "But how did you know that my husband was passing away?" "Your daughter came for me," he replied, with some surprise at the question. It was the woman's turn to be surprised now. "Come upstairs at once," she said, ''and we will talk afterwards." The minister went to the bedside of the dying man, spoke to him, and prayed with him, and shortly afterwards the end came. Turning to the woman, who was now a widow, he asked where the daughter was, for he had not seen her again since they entered the house. The woman replied, "I was surprised when you came to the door this evening, and I asked you who told you that my husband was dying. You said my daughter called and that you came out together. You have not heard then, that my daughter died a year ago?" Now the minister was astounded indeed. "Dead!" he exclaimed. "She came to my door, rang the bell, and walked out here with me. But there," he said, "I think I can prove that. As we came along together, the road was up in one place and a watchman and another man were sitting in a hut in front of a fire. They saw us go by. I'll speak to t em on my way home. He set off on his return journey, and found the two men still sitting in front of the fire. "You saw me go by an hour or so ago, didn't you?" he said to the men. "Was I alone?" "Yes, sir," one of them replied, "and you were talking away to yourself as hard as you could!"

Importance of Psychic Research

Psychic research is a field which, I am sure we must explore it with the same exactness and integrity as we have, in the name of science, explored other fields of phenomena. Spiritualism is supposed by some to be not quite respectable, but, for myself, I feel that to deny the claim that in certain cases the living have made authentic contact with the dead is to demand more of credulity than the situation warrants. In those cases I find the Spiritualist hypothesis more probable than any of its highly praised alternatives. End Times

“We are at the end of a cycle from our millennium development. We are approaching another one; much more important and elevated. Once it is over, we shall become completely different. In the same way, those who survived the Flood, were no longer the same. Nowadays, there are very few people like me but the human race will walk a long way. As time passes by, the people of the future will increase in numbers. Therefore, we encounter so many difficulties and suffering. This is the way you test and train the spirit. It is important to stand up for the Truth. It dawned on me to convey: Horrible calamities are predicted to happen - epidemics, famine, pestilence, stench. What is not destroyed by Nature will be completed by wars. There will be monstrous manifestations of the human spirit towards evil; unseen ever before. Darkness and Light have been fighting on Earth since time immemorial. The Jewish people will become a “cannon” for many Christian countries to suffer. In that area there is a massive uncontrollable fire concealed at the moment. When it breaks out, many Jews will go “to the other side of the world” and will perish. For what they are doing now with the Arabs, they will be indemnified. They will be defeated, beaten and driven away by them. The event is expected to happen after a massive geo-cataclysm. But the cards all of a sudden will turn over. Bringing hope to the survivors. Because those people will be more elevated. Then only they will live observing God’s Law.”

World War III

Despite that decline, we have to be proud of our ethnic origin. We have been sending our cruellest slavers to oblivion one after another. We should not look for acknowledgement of our proud spirit, but earn it. We shall be respected both in Europe and around the world! Intelligent beings, originating from our ancestors, will bring glory to Bulgaria far and wide beyond its borders. Celebrate and enjoy that you live in Bulgaria! Life in Bulgaria will change for good. When evil strikes with a bang and everything seems hopelessly lost, all of a sudden, there will be a twist. The villains who have been robbing the country for decades, will run away as if blown by wild winds. Honest and fair people will come, who will love the country. What is meant to be, will be. However, everyone is advised to take personal responsibility so that Bulgaria can succeed in its significant mission! We belong to the oldest peoples in Europe. They will not efface us. As long as there is life on Earth, Bulgarians will survive. Therefore, I am telling you, we are chosen by God. Other peoples will cease to exist, but us. Our country will be in a critical condition. When it is on the verge, the spirit of the resurrected David, its leader at that time, will save it. That person will be a significant Bulgarian politician who will become famous worldwide. He will contribute a lot for the prosperity of both our country and Europe. Even during the darkest years, the awakened sons of our tribe keep the burning flame alive. There are flashes. However, Bulgarians are notorious for their laziness. When they gain material welfare, they forget about the spiritual. The awakened power of Bulgarian’s spirit is great. Our country will turn into a Paradise. Those, who are leaving Bulgaria now, one day shall bitterly regret about that. Crucified between East and West, between North and South, we have one choice only; the Spirituality. Reaching for it, neither West, nor East can stop us, because we are predetermined by God to enrich the world.”

Unfortunately, from that part of the world the Evil will crawl and a war will break out. A massive dark ghost disguised as human will be infuriated. The whole world will stare at him.”

Appeal

As time passes by, the son of God will incarnate into every sensible human being. They will merge together. And that will gradually change him/her. Jesus Christ is the New Man. The bearer of the future virtues. We shall go to the Afterlife, then come back, then go again. The more we do that, the more virtues will be built in us. And you will see Jesus in your brother, in your sister, and they in you. How? Thanks to the virtue you gain, at the cost of hardships you managed to overcome, not just in one reincarnation, you shall not be any longer the person you used to be. Man will be Jesus as much as Jesus is within him/her. This is how I see the Second Advent. Do you understand? Saying that the Saviour will come again in flesh and blood is actually a wrong interpretation. The reflection of Christ, I see, a reflection of Christ enters. Such a light; pearly, not fiery. Such pearly light. I cannot describe it to you. He is in all His majesty, with a tunic, oval, Jewish type. And with slightly copper hair; dark copper hair. With dark eyes, not blue. Standing in a very nice posture. So humble. I don't remember anything else. He stayed for a while, vibrating. Christ has no Halo. He is fully in light. He is whole in light.”

The Near Future

“Once the disasters subside, amazing harmony, cherished for thousands of years, is upcoming. After the natural trials, one can see the era of Spirituality approaching. But until then, people will live through a tough period, a stumbling block, where time slows down. I was told: “You will walk for miles on end without meeting a living human being. But remember, if he appears in front of you; no need to ask. Jesus shall live within him.” The Earth’s axis will slightly shift. Within one day, its duration will be changed. This will trigger serious climate change. After the imminent disastrous cataclysms, there will be a turning point in the value system and course of development. Do not fear change. We have to realize our responsibility towards each other and to the Earth. The new millennium will be spiritualized. Spirituality will resurrect the broken bond with Love. The survivors will restore divinity in Man. Evil will be provoked again, in its tested old role; being a tool of Good. What Humanity has gone through, will make it more mature. The representatives of our civilization were deprived of the opportunity “to see” ahead. At dawn, however, we possessed that divine ability. Following the development of the Sixth race, it will be resurrected. The twenty-first century will be a turning point for the progress of Man. By 2,100 the epoch of the Spiritual man will come. It is believed that by 2050 it will begin to arise. More and more people will be spiritually sighted. Turbulent changes are on their way; I can see a new, unrecognizable epoch. Spirituality, creating miracles, will replace the prevailing crude materialism. The processes of spiritual renewal will not be for a year or two. It will be a long and challenging evolutionary stage. After about a century the modern cars will completely disappear. (prediction given 25 December 1975). Compared to the new ones, the old cars will look like dinosaurs; primitive, rough, clumsy. I can see a city with straight parallel streets. Buildings; not higher than 4-5 floors. As if made of glass. Their windows; matte, porous, with pores. This is further in the future. Vehicles will be absolutely silent. They will have something like a steering wheel and fins. They float low above the ground, just above the buildings. I can see people who will be driving them. They will eat more fruit than pasta. People will realize then that meat can cause cancer. Including chicken meat. So, no one will ever eat meat again. The praise to Nature will be also expressed in food; vegetarians will prevail. As a result of the completely different lifestyle, people’s appearance will gradually change. I can see those people; they have larger heads and elongated, considerably lightweight body. In the near future the huge highways, stretching ahead of us, will be overgrown with grass and bushes. No one will travel there. The new vehicles will float in the air. They will be charged with cosmic energy. They will not pollute the air. After a stage of unprecedented prosperity and rise, the pace of machinery progress will gradually slow down. As I said before, it will reach a certain stage. There will be nothing new to be discovered or implemented. Then there will come the time of that unimaginable stage that it will disgracefully collapse. Completely unnecessary, it will be discarded as the steam engine. Mankind will face much more tempting prospects, but of different nature. Machinery was once created, so that people had more time for themselves. Hand on heart, give an honest answer; is that so? And what was the price for that? Hadn’t it devastated our soul? Superior cosmic creatures do not need any machinery. Nowadays, we also do not need the spear and arrow without which life in the past was impossible. Mankind is facing unstopable spiritual development. Once we find our way to ourselves, if we develop the reserves hidden within us, we can go anywhere. If the man of future begins to use the power of thought to visit other planets and stars, the flying wonders I have spoken about, will be entirely dropped. The science will be developing after year 2000. Between 2025 to 2030. It will plague the world. It is not yet given so much. From 2030 onwards - 2031, 2035, 2037 we are entering the spiritual life. And we will have great prosperity on Earth. As far as I can see, at the end of the cycle, I think that we, the people will not be divided. As if the borderlines will disappear.

The Distant Future

“The achievements in the tech sector will facilitate life for many years to come. It will reach such perfection that you can hardly imagine it now in your wildest fantasies. However, technical progress will have and end. Technology will be gradually dying out. It will give way to Spirit. The world will change. Science will focus on those ignored, mystical phenomena such as Soul and Spirit. After 21 century Man will gradually withdraw from technology. Science will achieve new, much more incredible results in other fields. It will be discovered that there is speed faster than the speed of light: This might happen not later than 2150. Having survived the natural disasters, Mankind now strong and restored, will gain its Spirituality. It will reach for the stars. Science and technology gained unprecedented progress at the expense of the lagging intuition and hypersensitivity. Miraculous changes of different nature are expected to take place soon. You can’t imagine that. In the coming era, when two people decide to communicate, and one of them is, for example, at the North Pole, and the other one is at the South Pole, they can establish connection without any technology, spiritually. Thanks to the developed possibilities of the awakened mind, they will use the channels in Space. They will be as delicate as spiders’ webs, invisible, but sensory perceptible. It is believed that the incessant spiritual development will commence by 2075.”

The New Root Race

“Conspicuous changes in human physics are observed. The bodies of the descendants will be much more spiritual, beautiful. From a contemporary point of view, the physique of the future humans will not be attractive. The number of people with brown eyes and brown soft hair will increase. Human skin will become more transparent and lighter. Owing to the changed standard of beauty, the cult of human body will step back for the generations to come. A new trend will stand out; the worship of Spirit. The body will be more and more dependent on supreme I. Those people will be less emotional but more sensory and mentally active. They will realize their life much more meaningfully in close symbiosis with Nature. Over the years the birth rate and mortality will be balanced in such way that harmony will be established between our world and Afterlife. The forthcoming changes will commence after 2030-2032. From there on, I notice, these trends in the development of Mankind will stand out more and more. The attitude towards the physical body and fashion will give way to a new concept about Spirit and Soul. The energy of those beings will be redirected to their progress. Future belongs to the sixth sense. Diseases will decrease. They were always signs of spirit suffering and wrong way of living. Those beings will be mentally, physically and morally better. Medicines, together with the benefits of technology, will be discarded. Only then, Mankind will realize the past 20th Century was a Dark Medieval Era of Poisonous Pharmaceuticals. People will become more subtle, delicate, merciful and benevolent. Those people won’t be primal, with boosted ego like us. In our lifestyle, I will repeat, we are still too close to animals. There is meat in almost every meal. In some areas we even surpass them, sex is considered an entertaining sport. I can see ages ahead. Passion will wither. Man and woman in those obscure years will get together only if they want to have a baby. It is known that spirituality has no gender. At an even later stage, the sex drive will slow down until reaches extinction. Then there will be no need for birth and rebirth at all. The umbilical cord between the mother and the foetus will gradually begin to tear away, until it finally completely disappears. They will not be connected the way they are connected now. The new Mankind will restore its lost balance with the Earth and the Universe. In the near future, by the end of the modern cycle (after 2,100), our descendants will live much longer. Some of them could reach 170 years. Those people will not be forgotten by Heaven. I can see, after 2075, by the end of the cycle (2,100) most of them will have direct contact with the Supreme power. Much later, by 2,450, Spirituality will develop and flourish even more. Elevated, the future people will be gifted with awakened spiritual power. Others will drop; firmly attached to the ground. Those clinging to material world at any rate have poorer possibilities. Unlike them, the new race of the future, will have boundless prospects. The new generation is a step towards the Cosmic brotherhood. The new man, as I said before, will be taller, however, from modern point of view with not quite pleasant appearance; weak muscles, big head. Those beings will have a lighter complexion. They will lack the bronze tan of power. They will, however, be superior to us in their vigorous impulse of spirit. They will adapt harmoniously to nature in a much more sensible system of life. So, the New man will be gracious, gentle, not devoted that much to the material world. He will have a delicate build, weigh less, and will have a well-controlled mind. The resources of the underdeveloped human spirit are endless. Later, in the forthcoming stages, this will enable him to overcome even gravity. Without any equipment. Besides, those beings, as I have already revealed, will easily transmit thoughts, using no technical equipment, regardless of distances. The clairvoyance, so impressive nowadays, will be an ordinary means of terrestrial and cosmic communication. For the supercivilization the vast Universe will turn into a cosy and comfortable house. What I am telling now sounds like a fiction story. One day, however, this will be the home of a new spiritual generation. A day will come when peoples will profess the same faith. Religious feelings after the “massive destruction”, will create a new attitude towards the world. I can see that the priests in the forthcoming years will be wearing snow-white robes, tightly girded at the waist. The laity will sing in chorus with them. It will become clear, the saints are beings in many respects just like us, but much more elevated, with strong conviction and resilient spirit. Is it easy to be right? What about; pious? We will find out; just like us, they are not deprived of reincarnation. After 2100 a planetary church council will take place. During that council Christians-Catholics, Orthodox, Protestants and all others will accept the catechism of the doctrine about reincarnation. The inevitable natural cataclysms will affect this process. Once they subside, they will all unite into a single church. All religions will unite in one, proclaiming reincarnation. Textbooks will be written about rebirth and karma. They will be included in school curriculums. In the spiritually elevated supercivilization, Mankind will develop lots of new skills. This, however, will not happen quietly and at once. People will have to overcome new difficulties. Even if we want to, we can’t avoid them. They are necessary for the development, same like oxygen for life. Overcoming them, provokes strive for Light. There will be no space wars with other civilizations. The highly evolved Mind never fights against itself. By studying our planet and its natural laws, we improve ourselves. In the boundless future there will be no need to come here in order to take such lessons. Souls will have nothing new to acquire, fathoming the mysteries of physical and biological matter. Evolutionary, they will have gone far ahead. Life on Earth, as we know, is necessary for the development of souls. It is not an aggregate of amusements. A life lived frivolously, is eventually dearly paid.

The Forerunners

1850 to 1950

Since the mid 1800's and the early part of the 1900's several individuals where born to fulfil a purpose, that purpose of being Forerunners of that influence in the earth known as the Christ Consciousness, the coming of that force or power into the earth that has been spoken of through the ages.

The Second Coming and the Years of Tribulations will happen in the same time frame.

That as has been promised through the prophets and the sages of old, the time-and half time-has been and is being fulfilled in this day and generation, and that soon there will again appear in the earth that one through whom many will be called to meet those that are preparing the way for His day in the earth. The Lord, then, will come, “even as ye have seen Him go.” He shall come as ye have seen Him go, in the Body He occupied in Galilee. The body that He formed, that was crucified on the cross, that rose from the tomb, that walked by the sea, that appeared to Simon, that appeared to Philip, that appeared to John. He shall appear even as the Lord and Master. Aware of your deep concern with the future of the world, we feel obliged to inform you on the results of the scientific conference held here recently.
The conference dealt with the past and future changes of climate and was attended by 42 top American and European investigators.
We enclose the summary report published in Science and further publications are forthcoming in Quaternary Research.
The main conclusion of the meeting was that a global deterioration of climate, by order of magnitude larger than any hitherto experience by civilized mankind, is a very real possibility, and indeed may be due very soon.
The cooling has natural cause and falls within the rank of processes which produced the last ice age. This is a surprising result based largely on recent studies of deep sea sediments.
Existing data still do not allow forecast of the precise timing of the predicted development, nor the assessment of the man’s interference with the natural trends.
It could not be excluded however that the cooling now under way in the Northern Hemisphere is the start of the expected shift.
The present rate of the cooling seems fast enough to bring glacial temperatures in about a century, if continuing at the present pace.
The practical consequences which might be brought by such developments to existing social institution are among others:
1. Substantially lowered food production due to the shorter growing seasons and changed rain distribution in the main grain producing belts of the world, with Eastern Europe and Central Asia to be first affected.
2. Increased frequency and amplitude of extreme weather anomalies such as those bringing floods, snowstorms, killing frosts, etc.

"RESULTS: We found that the silicate weathering thermostat can be “outcompeted” by the more responsive organic carbon burial thermostat, which then dominates long-term climate regulation. In response to an initial CO2 release and global warming perturbation in the model, weathering rates and nutrient supply to the ocean increase. Dissolved oxygen (O2) availability in the marine environment declines through the reduced gas solubility and higher rates of organic matter decay prevailing in a warmer and more productive ocean. As seafloor anoxia spreads, P is recycled more efficiently back to the ocean rather than buried alongside C in marine sediments, fueling yet higher productivity and lower O2. CO2 declines more rapidly than P, and eutrophic conditions persist even as atmospheric CO2 falls below its starting value. Within a few hundred thousand years, global surface climate becomes colder than at the start of the experiment. The magnitude of this “overcooling” depends on the background state of C and P cycling, and for atmospheric O2 levels that are 60% lower than present-day levels, excess cooling can surpass 6°C, exceeding the global temperature difference between today and the Last Glacial Maximum. CONCLUSION: Fast feedbacks involving organic matter are not only essential for Earth system recovery from perturbation but also create unexpected climate instability. Overcooling is most strongly expressed at intermediate oxygenation states of the ocean and atmosphere in our model and provides a causal link between major transitions in oxygenation during the Precambrian and the occurrence of extreme cooling snowball Earth events. The existence of critical instability in geological climate regulation is a consequence of the presence of microbial life; this has implications for the coevolution of life and environment as well as long-term habitability on other planets. When Owning Gold Was Illegal in America: And Why It Could Be Again

"In 1933, Franklin D. Roosevelt was elected president of the United States by promising to end the Great Depression, which had driven the national unemployment rate up to 25% and gutted the economy. During his presidential campaign, FDR promised to lower government spending and taxes, and balance the budget. Once in office, he did the exact opposite. FDR's government spent more in an effort to create jobs and increase consumer demand. He raised taxes to fund the hike in spending, as well key government services. All of this was meant to stimulate the economy while assisting struggling American households, in order to bring the nation out of the depths of the economic depression that had begun with the 1929 stock market crash. FDR quickly realized, however, that he could not print enough money to pay for his spending program, even by increasing taxes. The Federal Reserve Act of 1914 limited the amount of money that could be printed by the government. All Federal Reserve notes (paper money) had to be backed by 40 percent gold owned by the Federal government. FDR Outlaws Gold
One of FDR's first acts as president, therefore, was to declare the fact that Americans were withdrawing their gold and currency from the beleaguered banking system "a national emergency." He ordered all banks to close from March 6-9 "in order to prevent the export, hoarding, or earmarking of gold or silver coin or bullion or currency." Because he believed this action was not sufficient to prevent runs on banks and the resulting drain of gold from the system, on April 5, 1933, one month after taking office, Roosevelt used the powers granted to the president by the Trading with the Enemy Act of 1917 to make gold ownership illegal. He issued Executive Order 6102, which made gold ownership--both in coins and in bars--illegal for all Americans and punishable by up to 10 years in prison. Anyone caught with gold would also have to pay a fine of twice the amount of gold that was not turned over to the Federal Reserve in exchange for paper money.
Americans Required to Hand Gold Into the Government
All Americans were required to turn in their gold on or before May 1, 1933 to the Federal Reserve in return for $20.67 of paper money per troy ounce. Americans who did not turn in their gold were subject to arrest on criminal charges and faced up to 10 years in federal prison. An exception was made for dentists, who could own up to 100 ounces. Proclamation 6102 also prohibited the use of gold in contracts. This was upheld by the Supreme Court on March 1935, in what were called the Gold Clause Cases.

Millions of Americans waited in long lines to hand in their gold. Many photos from this era are often cited as examples of people getting their money out of the banks when in fact, they were simply turning in their gold in accordance with FDR's new laws. With gold and paper money now separated, FDR was able to increase the federal deficit by issuing bonds (debt) in exchange for paper money. He used the paper money raised through government bond issues to pay for the many government programs he initiated as part of his New Deal program. Sadly, FDR's New Deal did not end the Great Depression. Instead, in 1937, the stock market collapsed by 90 percent and unemployment soared. Then, in the 1970s, the U.S. government removed the last remaining restraint on federal government deficits.
Nixon Ends The Gold Standard
At that time, foreign countries could exchange dollars they received through international trade for gold held by the American government, at $32 per ounce. In 1971, gold started to pour out of the U.S. government's stockpile due to large deficits in both the federal budget and the trade balance. At 9 PM on August 15, 1971, President Richard Nixon gave a televised speech to the nation, announcing that he was taking the dollar off the "Gold Standard." This move enabled the dollar to float freely against other currencies, and removed the final obstacle to ballooning federal deficits and trade imbalances. The prohibition against owning gold wasn't uplifted until 1974 when President Gerald Ford-- unaware that it was a federal felony to own gold--saw sound-money advocate Jim Blanchard on TV raising a bar of gold and asking from his wheelchair: "Why can I not own this?" Deficits Climb and the Dollar Falls
As a result, deficits continued to mount. Today, the U.S. federal deficit is at $19 trillion with another $70 trillion in off-balance-sheet debt, which can be triggered if certain individuals or institutions renege on debts that the Federal government has guaranteed. The purchasing power of the U.S. dollar has precipitously declined, as well.

The Fabian Society

Marx and Engels published The Communist Manifesto in 1848. The Fabian Society was established in 1883 to keep the dream alive. The Fabian Society is historically related to some of the furthest left factions of radicalism, a left-wing liberal tradition. As one of the founding organisations of the Labour Representation Committee in 1900, and as an important influence upon the Labour Party which grew from it, the Fabian Society has had a powerful influence on British politics. Members of the Fabian Society have included political leaders from other countries. The Fabian Society founded the London School of Economics in 1895. Fabianism outside the United Kingdom; The major influence on the Labour Party and on the English-speaking socialist movement worldwide, has meant that Fabianism became one of the main inspirations of international social democracy.  In 1910, the Fabians commissioned a glass painting for the headquarters of the Fabian Society. The top of the glass read, "Remould it nearer to the heart's desire." This phrase is taken from a rubai (quatrain) by the Iranian poet Omar Khayyam, who is claimed to be Ismaili like Hassan-i Sabbah, the founder of the Order of Assassins, and refers to shattering and then reshaping the world. The bottom of the painting shows the Fabians building a new world with their hammers. The most striking thing in this depiction on the glass is the wolf logo of the society dressed in lambskin. The logo almost reminds one of the passage from the Bible: “Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.” The Fabians wanted to fulfill the goal of a New World Order, but they believed that people would change with reforms, not a revolution as Marx had claimed. In fact, as they wanted to establish socialism under capital control, they aimed to impose socialism not only on the working class but also on the capitalists. To achieve this goal of changing society, they would advise governments, especially in the field of education, and change society through them. One of the fundamental works in the founding of the League of Nations was the book titled "International Government." It was penned by Leonard Sidney Woolf, the Fabian husband of novelist Virginia Woolf, in 1916 when World War I was ongoing. It was the book version of the article titled "Suggestions for the Prevention of War" published in the New Statesman magazine in 1915. An introduction was also penned by Shaw for this book, which was in fact a collective work of Fabian Society members. Fabians also established the financial arm of the international government, which was a big step toward a single global state.

Fabian Society & The Frankfurt School, are: Flour from the Same Bag, based upon Marxism Leninism, shared Communist intellectual lineage, and influence, particularly in the development of Social, and Critical Theory. The Fabian Society focused on gradualist reform (rejecting the Revolutionary Doctrines of Marxism, recommending instead a “gradual transition to a socialist society”), while the Frankfurt School is a German school of thought emphasizing critical theory. The connection is often highlighted when discussing the influence of socialist thinkers on higher education and the development of modern critical theory.

Journalist - What makes you suspect of Keir Starmer, UK Prime Minister?

Peter Jonathan Hitchens - Keir Starmer is a man of very interesting background. He is by inclination, and politics for a long time a person of the very, very, Far Left. He was mixed up with a tendency called Pabloism in his 20's, which is an outward branch for Trotskyism named after a man whose name de guerre was Pablo, who's really Greek Revolutionary, called Pablo Michel Raptis. Who decided that the old form of Revolutionary Socialism was clapped out. In which he was absolutely right, the seizure of the post office, and the barracks by the working class, that wasn't going to happen. But the Revolution should concentrate on two things: the red and the green. The red; being the cultural, moral and Revolution sort of grand takeover of society in every corner, and the green bit of course the fanatical, and zealous pursuit of Net Zero, and similar targets. And the red bit is of course sexual politics, amongst other things. And Starmer, I think recognizes, and has had difficulty over this, because he really believes this stuff. He's extremely dogmatic person, the other very interesting thing was when he was finally asked a political question interview a week or so ago, and Nick Ferrari asked him when he kept on referring to working people, and they wouldn't face any more taxes. Who did he mean by working people? And he said in effect, I will try and quote exactly but what the effect of what he said was, that people he does not regard as working people, were people with savings. Now there are many, many people in this country are not particularly well off, who do have savings, and who have managed to accumulate assets. They will all I think face very strong egalitarian taxation, in one form or another under this government. There are other things about Starmer which are fascinating. The Daily Mail, the other day revealed that he'd been on a Work Camp trip to Czechoslovakia, in the deep frozen years of Communism in 1986, this is in the period when people at about being thrown into jail, when they were trying very hard to draw attention to the complete lack freedom of speech. When anybody who opposed the the Communist Regime in Czechoslovakia was either put into prison, or driven from his profession. And made to work in menial tasks, it was a miserable Cold War time, and yet he went on this Work Camp Trip. Also when he was a young lawyer in 1980's, secretary of a body he called the Haldane Society of Socialist Lawyers. The Haldane Society was a result of a split among left-wing lawyers in London in the 1940's, split largely between sympathizers of the Soviet Union and non-sympathizers of the Soviet Union, in which the Haldane Society was the Society of choice for those who were more inclined towards sympathy for the Soviet Union, and the Society of Labour Lawyers was the the Society of Labour Lawyers of normal Labour Party members, who were also lawyers. No one, who was a left-wing lawyer in London, in the 1980's could not have known about this distinction. I have particular reasons for knowing about it, but Sir Keir Starmer could not have been unaware that there was this distinction, yet he was Secretary of the Haldane Society, rather than a member of the Society for Labour Lawyers. You have to ask why? I think that he's a man of the pretty strong hard left, probably wealthy left of Jeremy Corbin, in a modern and I said partly German way which is incomprehensible to most people who write about politics in this country, because most people who write about politics in this country are politically illiterate, particularly by the left. And don't understand its language, I understand this because I was so very nearly in it of course. I was myself a revolutionary Marxist in the in the late 1960's, and 1970's and I broke quite bitterly with my former comrades. If you don't have any understanding of Marxism, then you're completely a lost from understanding modern European politics. So, for instance someone like Daniel Cohn-Bendit who ended up as Euro MP, the currents which began in 1968 in Paris, and the May events of people throwing cobblestones at the Gendarmerie ended up in many cases deep in the institutions of the European Union. One of the main Founders of the European project was an Italian Communist Altiero Spinelli. The law authorized UK authorities, including the Office of Communications (Ofcom), to monitor all forms of communication for speech they deemed “illegal.” The Online Safety Act of 2023, which came into force in 2024, defined the category of “online harm” and expressly expanded Ofcom’s authority to include American media and technology firms with a substantial number of British users, regardless of whether they had a corporate presence in the UK. Under the law, companies were required to engage in proactive “illegal content risk assessment” to mitigate the risk of users encountering speech deemed illegal by Ofcom. Experts warned that one effect of the bill could be government regulation to reduce or eliminate effective encryption (and therefore user privacy) on platforms. Expansive and unclear restrictions on potentially prejudicial reporting on ongoing court and tribunal proceedings limited the freedom of the press. Legal restrictions on speech labeled as threatening, offensive, or constituting a “hate crime” applied to print and broadcast media including social media. In the wake of an attack in Southport in which three young girls were stabbed to death, local and national government officials repeatedly intervened to chill speech as to the identity and motives of the attacker (later identified as Axel Rudakubana, a British citizen of Rwandan origins). The government called on companies, including U.S. firms, to censor speech deemed misinformation or “hate speech.” Director of Public Prosecutions Stephen Parkinson threatened to prosecute and seek the extradition of those who “repost, repeat, or amplify a message which is false, threatening, or stirs up racial/religious hatred.” The Crown Prosecution Service shared a video online stating that citizens should “Think before you post!” and threatening legal consequences for violations of the law. "Night was falling when the two pickup trucks parked on a hill in the Santa Tereza neighbourhood of Rio. Armed with revolvers and grenades, 11 men and two young women disembarked and, in rapid movements, invaded the mansion where Ana Benchimol Capriglione lived, the lover of former São Paulo governor Adhemar de Barros, famous for his catchphrase "he steals, but he gets things done." At dusk on 18 July 1969, the largest robbery carried out during the military dictatorship by groups supporting the armed struggle began. Disguised as police officers hunting for documents considered subversive, the invaders spread out throughout the mansion. While some climbed to the second floor to locate the safe, others immobilized residents and employees, slashed the tires of cars parked in the garage, and cut the telephone lines. The operation lasted exactly 28 minutes. And it enriched VAR-Palmares, a communist organization whose most active members included Dilma Rousseff, a university student from Minas Gerais, by US$2.4 million (approximately R$30 Million in today's values). "We thought the coup would be huge, but we had no idea how big it would be," Dilma said in an interview published in 2006. The safe, weighing over 200 kilograms, rolled down the marble staircase, was placed in one of the pickup trucks, and taken to a "device"—a term used to identify addresses where supporters of the armed struggle lived or met—in Jacarepaguá. There, using blowtorches, the safe, which had previously been flooded to prevent the money from burning, was broken into. The bills dried after being hung on clotheslines and exposed to fans. They were part of the former governor of São Paulo's fortune. The information that they were under the lover's care was relayed to VAR-Palmares by Gustavo Buarque Schiller, a nephew of Ana Benchimol who had recently joined the organization. Among those participating in the operation were Carlos Minc, state representative and former Minister of the Environment in the Lula administration, and Carlos Franklin Paixão de Araújo, second husband and father of Dilma Rousseff's only daughter, Vana Rousseff Linhares, also known as Estela, Wanda, Marina, Maria Lúcia, or Luiza. Although she helped plan all of the group's robberies, Dilma was not among the invaders of the mansion. She provided the weapons, guarded the money, and helped distribute the stolen goods. The heist was designed to prevent the financial collapse of VAR-Palmares, the result of the merger of the Revolutionary Popular Vanguard (VPR), led by Carlos Lamarca, with the National Liberation Command (Colina), where Dilma debuted in armed struggle at age 20, at the invitation of her first husband, journalist Galeno Magalhães Linhares. "Colina was one of the few organizations to explicitly preach terrorism," wrote historian Jacob Gorender, who was imprisoned with Dilma in the Tiradentes prison in São Paulo. The fate of the US$2.4 Million remains shrouded in mystery. One of the most widespread versions claims that several militants received US$800 each "for emergencies," and that approximately US$1 Million was used to purchase weapons and cars, pay for the rental of the equipment, and purchase areas for guerrilla training. The Algerian ambassador to Brazil, Hafif Keramane, was awarded an additional US$1 Million to continue working with the exiled militants. Another US$250,000 was deposited in secret Swiss accounts and later divided among the remaining members of VAR-Palmares. In his book "The Open Dictatorship," journalist Elio Gaspari reports that Adhemar's coffers allowed part of the VAR-Palmares leadership to stop roaming small suburban homes and settle in a farmhouse in Jacarepaguá, equipped with a foreign car and a fake driver. The fortune precipitated disunity. Three months after the most lucrative operation since the beginning of the armed struggle, VAR-Palmares was split in half. Carlos Araújo and Dilma joined their comrades in the Revolutionary Armed Vanguard (VAR), led by Antonio Espinosa. The militants loyal to Lamarca resurrected the VPR. Once the split was finalized, Dilma was tasked with finding a safe haven for the VAR arsenal in São Paulo. During this time, Carlos Araújo's wife shared a room in a boarding house with Maria Celeste Martins on Avenida Celso Garcia in the East Zone. The bathroom was shared, and the accommodations were quite precarious. "Celeste and I went in with a bucket," Dilma recounted in an April 2009 interview with Piauí magazine. "I remember the bucket well because it had ammunition. We wrapped the weapons in a blanket. We took everything to the boarding house and put it under the bed.
